The 2012 hurricane season began June 1 and ends November 30. Tropical storms, however, can develop at any time of the year. The most activity in the tropics regions happens during official hurricane season. During that time, storms are larger and more intense. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicted that we may see 12 to 17 named storms throughout the 2012 season with eight of those storms possibly developing into a hurricane.
We know the devastation that a hurricane can cause. Being prepared, in advance, is critical so you're ready to take action on a moment's notice.
